Welcome to our new site!

Today (March 4, 2014) we launch our project–this set of pages– as the official ESA History website. We think the new features offered here will help you find a great deal of history information that hasn’t been as readily accessible before.
What’s New?

  1. You can comment! Got questions? On almost every page, you’ll find an invitation to comment. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity, and we’ll try to respond promptly. You can also reach us by email at HRC4ESA at gmail dot com, or chat with us via Twitter @ESAhistory.
  2. Our interactive timeline: This one’s a work-in-progress, with more events to be added, but give it a try (on the home page) and explore ESA’s first 100 years.
  3. Our tables: Officers and Award winners are available, and all tables are sortable–by name, year, and other fields. We’ll keep working on missing information (chapter and section officers, for example), so check back often for new pages.
  4. Resources: When we discover new sources of historical information on ecology and ESA, we’ll be sharing them here.
  5. And you can help! We invite suggestions, submissions, connections, corrections, and even volunteers. Check out our construction page for ways to get involved. We look forward to working with you to make ESA History a bigger, better place.

So take a look around and let us know what you think. And please keep an eye out for more improvements in the weeks to come.
Thanks for stopping by!
