Chapter Activities

A descriptive summary of each of the major Chapter activities (seminars/workshops, field trips, fundraisers, outreach/community service, etc.) during the past academic year. The activity, the timeframe, and the persons involved (Chapter members, campus, school students, community, etc.). People who were included and served, and how many.

This year, we were using the leftover funds from last year. We had a little over $100 left, and we used it for another field trip — to see the Bonnet Carre spillway, a flood control structure outside of New Orleans. It was a wonderful trip and the student learned a lot, we went on the trip in partnership with my Environmental Biology class in spring 2013.

We also hosted the SEEDS annual student conference, and Dillard students loved the conference and gained a huge amount of knowledge and empowerment!
