He will present his methodology and preliminary findings at the Ecological Society of America\u2019s Annual Meeting in Baltimore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The U.S National Science Foundation’s National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) is a continental-scale observation facility operated by Battelle and designed to collect long-term ecological data. As the largest estuary in the United States, the Bay is a dynamic system shaped by both natural processes and human activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At ESA\u2019s upcoming Annual Meeting, researchers will present a wide range of Artificial Intelligence-driven ecological studies. Some focus on developing new tools and techniques, while others showcase AI\u2019s application in the field, from identifying pollinators in images and monitoring bird calls to linking tree rings with climate data, improving forest inventories, tracking disease and predicting wetland biodiversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This year, Annual Meeting symposia will address the questions and tools at the frontiers of ecological research, wetland restoration in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, deep soil carbon storage, the return of buffalo to tribal lands and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ecological Society of America is pleased to announce the winners of its 2025 awards, which recognize outstanding contributions to ecology in new discoveries, teaching, sustainability, diversity and lifelong commitment to the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ESA will formally acknowledge and celebrate its eight new Fellows and ten new Early Career Fellows during a ceremony at the 2025 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
