Newberry is the Director of Sustainable Technology at Bucknell University. He uses his background in environmental education to develop programs teaching students, faculty, and staff about renewable energy and sustainability. Newberry also leads many aspects of the campus’ zero waste management program. An early fascination with birds inspired him to pursue this path. Newberry has since dedicated his career to sharing his passion for environmental sciences with people from all walks of life. He is now writing a book about BIPOC environmental professionals and their experiences.

To learn more about Newberry’s work, click here.

To connect with Newberry, click here.

With the start of this Black History Month, we are excited to kick off our ‘Blackologist of the Month’ series.
