Dr. Malik is an expert in plant-microbe interactions and trophic ecology. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he is a proud first generation Haitian American. His ecological career began as an intern at a National Institutes of Health program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Malik works extensively on the monarch-milkweed system, and is currently exploring the impacts of elevated CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in this system. He teaches general biology at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Haskell Indian Nations University and Rockhurst University.
