Our vision is to promote awareness and action on climate adaptation across all areas of ecology, from research to practice to policy. Climate change is reshaping ecosystems faster than ever, and while the science is clear, the work of adapting, figuring out what to do and what actually works, is often scattered across institutions and disciplines. CAS brings that work together: we connect people across disciplines, build professional capacity for adaptation work, and serve as a bridge between research and practice.

What We Care About

We treat each other with respect, make decisions openly, and try to make sure everyone’s voice counts. We’re practical, so what we do has to actually be useful to our members, whether they have funding or not, whether they can make it to the Annual Meeting or not.

What We Do

We organize talks and workshops at the ESA Annual Meeting, host webinars and reading groups, share job postings and useful resources, recognize good work through awards, and try to keep the community connected year round.

Get Involved

Interested in joining?
