The official hashtag is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?src=typd&amp;q=%23esa2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#ESA2017<\/a>). Use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23ESASciComm&amp;src=typd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#ESASciComm<\/a> if you\u2019re joining\/tracking along with the SciComm Section.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #999999\"><strong>#ESA2017 Social Media Policy Highlights:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>NO photo, video, or audio recordings during scientific sessions (talks and posters) unless you are a registered journalist.\u00a0Sketching is an approved alternative.<\/li>\n<li>Photography is allowed at social events, in public areas, and at plenary sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Social media is opt-out. For sketching tips, open the post and search for \u201cTry it yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #999999\">Social\/new media (Twitter, Facebook and others)\u00a0is op-out.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>That means \u201cthe default assumption is to allow open discussion of ESA presentations on social\/new media.\u201d\u00a0If you do not want people discussing\/live-tweeting, etc., your talk or poster,\u00a0ESA recommends you include opt-out icons on\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">every slide<\/span>\u00a0or on the poster somewhere visible.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few opt-in and opt-out icons we\u2019ve found or created. You\u2019re welcome to use them. Click on individual images to download and use them for your presentation and\/or individual slides.
