{"id":427,"date":"2019-07-01T14:18:36","date_gmt":"2019-07-01T14:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esa.org\/disease\/?page_id=427"},"modified":"2024-07-29T17:35:03","modified_gmt":"2024-07-29T17:35:03","slug":"poster-awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/esa.org\/disease\/awards\/poster-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Outstanding Poster award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>2024 Call for Nominations for the Outstanding Student Poster Award<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Undergraduate or graduate students and recent M.S. or Ph.D. recipients (within 2 years of receiving the degree) are eligible for this award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>1)<\/strong> The poster must result from research done as a student and be in the area of disease ecology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>2)<\/strong> If there are multiple authors, the applicant must be the first author.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>3)<\/strong> The poster must be presented at the 2024 ESA meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>4)<\/strong> At the time of the application deadline (August 3), the applicant must be a student or have received their degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) within the past 2 years. Graduate students or recent degree recipients can either be section members or be advised by a section member; undergraduates can either be section members or be advised by a section member.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Posters will be judged by the Awards Committee appointed by the Officers of the Disease Ecology Section. The work will be judged based on the contribution to the field, including originality, study design, methods and analysis, and impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Applications should be submitted via email (esadiseaseecology AT gmail DOT com) by <strong>August 3rd<\/strong> with the subject line \u201cBest Poster Award_ [Applicant Last Name]\u201d.
