The annual ESA meeting is busy and exciting, but it can be difficult for early career ecologists to find and make new professional contacts with more senior ecologists. To facilitate interactions, the ECES is organizing a meet-and-greet activity where professional ecologists purchase drink tickets for early career ecologists<\/span><\/span><\/span>*<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, to help everyone expand their network! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how it works:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re asking more senior professional ecologists to \u201cpick up the tab\u201d for early career drinks<\/span><\/span><\/span>**<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> at the exhibit hall bar during the evening poster session (Monday-Thursday, 4:40-6:30 pm). Participating professionals will pre-purchase tickets<\/span><\/span><\/span>***<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/b>for random distribution to early career participants at the ESA booth. Each ticket will have the sponsor\u2019s name and contact information on the back. Tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis, at the Early Career Ecologists booth, limited to 1 per person. To redeem a ticket, the early career ecologist must find this sponsor at the ESA meeting, introduce themselves, and thank them for the drink! Recipients are encouraged to ask others for help in finding their sponsor. Happy networking! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
