October 22 10 am – 1:30 pm Freetown Farm  / Community Ecology Institute: working at the intersections of education, environment, equity and health

We will have a tour of the Freetown Farm, take part in a volunteer activity, have lunch and then meet some of the people working at Freetown Farm and Community Ecology Institute.

Description of Freetown Farm: “During the summer of 2019, the Community Ecology Institute (CEI) purchased a 6.4 acre-organic farm in our hometown of Columbia, Maryland. We have protected this unique property from housing development and are preserving and restoring the farm–creating a place where people can learn through hands-on  experiences about how to lead happier, healthier, more connected and sustainable lives.” Click here to learn more about Freetown Farm!
