The Bylaws go into effect March 1, 2020. The Council\u2019s vote supports the decision made last fall by the general membership to accept the new governance documents.<\/p>\n<p>Read <a href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/esablog\/ecology-in-the-news\/news-events\/esa-updating-its-governance-to-better-serve-its-members\">the blog post from last November<\/a> for more details on the process.<\/p>\n<p>ESA\u2019s Governing Board members now turn their attention to determine if changes are needed to the Society\u2019s structure to meet members\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n<p>I will seek your input and I will keep the membership updated during the process.
