On Friday, the White House released <a href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PBR_appendix_fy2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">details of its Fiscal Year 2026 budget request<\/a>, which would slash science funding to levels not seen in decades \u2014 including a 90% cut to the USGS Ecosystems Mission Area, a 72% cut to NSF\u2019s Directorate for Biological Sciences and a halving of NASA\u2019s Earth Science Division, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#e4e8ec\"><strong>Call or email your senators and ask for strong funding levels for science agencies.
