\nJean Langenheim displayed a draft of the print timeline of ESA presidents since 1968 at the HRC booth in Portland. Above, she discusses details with Dennis Knight, HRC chair. This work-in-progress is new this year, but is planned to be completed in time for the 2015 centennial. A matching interactive timeline is also in preparation.
\nA unique feature of the Living Past President\u2019s timeline is that it contains each president\u2019s synopsis of his or her term in office, enabling viewers to get an overview of the history of ESA from the perspective of ESA\u2019s top role. The challenges they faced and the initiatives they launched make interesting reading and enable members to track changes in the organization and the development of new ideas.
