Human Ecology Section Awarded ESA Section Development Grant<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very pleased to have been awarded a Section Development Grant for 2019. Titled the Human Dimensions Collaborative, the grant-funded workshop held on Saturday, 10th August (i.e. the day before 2019 ESA commences).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop is designed to bring together several ESA sections that are oriented around the human dimensions of environmental problems and the unjust distribution of their burdens. There is a unique opportunity for these sections to collaborate to share their respective areas of expertise and help ESA as we share the pursuit of a range of our association\u2019s strategic goals.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include ESA\u2019s mission goals of \u2018promoting ecological science by improving communication among members and ensuring the \u2018appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making by enhancing communication between the ecological community and policymakers\u2019.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
