\"\"<\/a>The National Weather Center houses a unique confederation of The University of Oklahoma, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and state organizations that work together in partnership to improve understanding of events occurring in Earth\u2019s atmosphere over a wide range of time and space scales. \u00a0Tours include visits to the McCasland Family Observation Deck, School of Meteorology, the NOAA\/NWS Storm Prediction Center, the NWS Norman Weather Forecast Office, and the National Severe Storm Laboratory.<\/p>\n

Tour duration: 1.5 hours.\u00a0You will be able to choose one of three tours beginning at (1 pm, 2 pm canceled)<\/strong> \u00a0and 3 pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

National Security Requirements:<\/strong> Due to national security, all field trip participants will be required to register at a dedicated NWC site to select a particular tour (i.e. 3 pm). \u00a0You will receive a link to the tour registration site AFTER you register for the Life Discovery conference. \u00a0Please allow 3-5 business days to receive the follow up email. If you do not receive the tour registration information within 5 business days, please contact\u00a0LDC@esa.org<\/a>. Kindly do NOT contact NWC about tour registration.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Non-US citizens.<\/strong>\u00a0NWC Security Guidelines require that foreign nationals (non-US citizens) obtain security clearance.\u00a0 Foreign national visitors are required to complete and submit the NWC Foreign National Visitor Form at least two weeks in advance of a tour date. \u00a0In order to receive the required form, you must first register for a tour.\u00a0Therefore, all foreign nationals should register by September28 in order to ensure that you have a spot on the tour.<\/p>\n
