{"id":1950,"date":"2023-01-12T16:34:54","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T16:34:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esa.org\/portland2023\/?page_id=1950"},"modified":"2023-07-05T15:45:29","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T15:45:29","slug":"funding-support","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/esa.org\/portland2023\/funding-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Support"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ESA is happy to support access to the Annual Meeting by those who might not otherwise have funding to participate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students <\/strong>who are accepted as <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/portland2023\/volunteer\/\" target=\"_blank\">volunteers<\/a> at the Annual Meeting will have their (early-bird only) registration costs reimbursed after completing their assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Our Sections and Chapters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ESA&#8217;s constituent groups are in the process of releasing applications for funding of various sorts, under their own criteria. Some of these opportunities will function similarly to registration grants, or may include travel reimbursement; others are awards for published or presented scientific work. <strong>Students are especially encouraged to apply for these opportunities if they qualify.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdMMpS-AGaKRMfjF2kbIoq-WnmL79mLbuB7kRz-mSqEmaGUYQ\/viewform\">Environment Justice Section Travel Award<\/a> <strong>(1 for $500, due July 14)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This list will change over time as applications open and close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ESA is happy to support access to the Annual Meeting by those who might not otherwise have funding to participate.
