Financial constraints should not prevent an ecologist from being able to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We annually provide registration and dependent care grants to ecologists facing barriers to attend. ESA&#8217;s sections and chapters likewise provide funding opportunities, which will be listed below. Other programs of the Society&#8217;s &#8212; like SEEDS &#8212; offer support as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_85 counter-hierarchy ez-toc-counter ez-toc-custom ez-toc-container-direction\">\n<nav><ul class='ez-toc-list ez-toc-list-level-1 ' ><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-1\" href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/saltlake2026\/esa-support\/funding-support\/#Section_Chapter_Funding\" >Section &amp; Chapter Funding<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-2\" href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/saltlake2026\/esa-support\/funding-support\/#ESA_Registration_Dependent_Care_Grants\" >ESA Registration &amp; Dependent Care Grants<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Section_Chapter_Funding\"><\/span>Section &amp; Chapter Funding<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of ESA&#8217;s sections and chapters offer funding for Annual Meeting participation. This is often in the form of direct registration support, travel stipends and presentation awards. Each group&#8217;s opportunities and requirements are different; we will list available opportunities here and update as more are shared with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Biogeosciences Section<\/strong> offers three separate awards, including student travel grants of up to $500. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/esa.org\/biogeosciences\/awards\/\">Criteria and application here.<\/a> Applications are due June 21.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ESA_Registration_Dependent_Care_Grants\"><\/span>ESA Registration &amp; Dependent Care Grants<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline to apply for these grants has passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We anticipate being able to provide approximately $25,000 in registration grants and $10,000 in dependent care. <strong>ESA members<\/strong> are eligible for these funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Registration grants<\/strong> will directly cover the price of <strong>early-bird registration<\/strong>. They will be administered via coupon code; there will be no direct payment provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All members are eligible to apply, but the ESA Council wishes to prioritize support for mid-career researchers at less-resourced institutions, and contingent and adjunct faculty generally.
