{"id":356,"date":"2018-07-16T19:52:11","date_gmt":"2018-07-16T19:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esa.org\/urbanecology\/?page_id=356"},"modified":"2018-07-16T19:52:11","modified_gmt":"2018-07-16T19:52:11","slug":"travel-awards-2018","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/esa.org\/urbanecology\/student-awards\/travel-awards-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel Awards 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are soliciting applications for the annual UEE\u00a0travel\u00a0grant for ESA 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The ESA Urban Ecosystem Ecology Section offers student travel awards for student members of the section to attend the ESA Annual Meeting this August in New Orleans, LA.<\/p>\n<p>Travel awards are partially supported by Springer on behalf of the journal Urban Ecosystems and will be $500 per student.<\/p>\n<p>Please send:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>two statements, one of research interests and\u00a0\u00a0the other a statement of need (no more than 500 words combined),<\/li>\n<li>the title and abstract of your accepted ESA abstract, whether your presentation is oral or a poster,<\/li>\n<li>your student status (undergrad, MS, PhD)<\/li>\n<li>and arrange to have a letter of recommendation from your adviser sent directly to us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will not review incomplete applications.<\/p>\n<p>Send your application materials with the subject line \u201cUEE Travel Award\u201d to Dr. Mitchell Pavao-Zuckerman at <a href=\"https:\/\/exmail.oregonstate.edu\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=DV6TmdUUr-RiztJyIWU4hV-9RgEiQRqFA2UamiPqD-n43stwVevVCA..&amp;URL=mailto%3ampzucker%40umd.edu\">mpzucker@umd.edu<\/a>.
