At ESA\u2019s Annual Meeting in Long Beach, California, the Vegetation Panel hosted a booth in the exhibition hall and sponsored a field trip<\/a> to the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve.\u00a0 Participants observed classification and conservation efforts of this urban preserve.\u00a0 The Panel had its semi-annual meeting (Meeting Notes<\/a>) and ran a Special Session<\/a> that highlighted the applications of the U.S. National Vegetation Classification (USNVC).\u00a0 The Panel also co-hosted a mixer with the Vegetation and Plant Population Ecology Sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
