Incorporating Cross-Cutting Themes in Ecology Education FMN
ESA’s Transforming Ecology Education to 4D (TEE) is excited to host another Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN) in Spring 2026. Participants will explore the Four-Dimensional Ecology Education (4DEE) Framework , with particular emphasis on cross-cutting themes, and learn strategies for incorporating this dimension into their lessons.
4DEE Whole Course Planning Writing retreat
ESA is interested in exploring how the 4DEE framework may be implemented at the whole course level. The 15-hour (2 1/2 days) 4DEE Whole Course Planning Writing Retreat welcomes applications from faculty who are highly familiar with the 4DEE framework, have already incorporated 4DEE at the module level, and ready to take 4DEE to the next level. Travel and housing covered. ESA seeks exemplars of syllabi, course modules and assessment rubrics that will showcase 4DEE at the course level. This workshop is made possible with funding from the National Science Foundation.
