ESA established its fellows program in 2012 with the goal to honor its members and to support their competitiveness and advancement to leadership positions in the Society, at their institutions, and in broader society. The Society’s fellows program recognizes the many ways in which our members contribute to ecological research and discovery, communication, education and pedagogy, and to management and policy. ESA fellows and early career fellows are listed on the ESA Fellows page.

The long-awaited public release of a consistent and adaptable national reporting system for plant communities opens new avenues for broad-scale and long-term analyses of landscape change. ESA’s Panel on Vegetation Classification has worked for two decades on this massively collaborative effort and will manage the ongoing peer review process for revisions and additions. » Read the USNVC announcement
