Save the date: 3 conference activities to launch the new ESA SciComm section

We’re delighted to confirm approval of a new ESA section devoted to Science Communication!

Three important dates to note (all taking place during the 2015 annual ESA meeting) are as follows:

1. Communicating Science Vividly workshop (08/09/15)

We’ll be offering another hands-on skill-building workshop focused on enhancing your SciComm skills. This year’s workshop features visual communication and writing activities to help participants build skills in conveying complex scientific concepts to broad audiences through storytelling and other creative narrative pathways. 2. First official meeting of the section (08/10/15)

This short, ~half-hour business meeting will take place on Monday, August 10th, during the annual ESA conference. Stay tuned for meeting location details.

3. SciComm Mixer (08/10/15)

Following the business meeting, we’ll adjourn to a nearby watering hole to meet, greet, brainstorm, and generally appreciate the company of others who practice and advocate for SciComm.
