About Federation > Members/Objectives of the Federation

The undersigned organizations agree to be part of the Federation of the Ecological Societies of the Americas.

The objectives of the Federation will be to:

1. Foster the science of ecology
2. Improve communications among those involved in the ecological sciences in the Americas
3. Improve dissemination of current ecological understanding in the region
4. Collaborate on actions towards improving capacity building in the region on topics related to ecology

Those eligible to participate in the Federation are ecological societies and, in countries which do not have an ecological society, those organizations representing most of the ecologists in that country.

There is no financial obligation to be part of the Federation. All activities of the Federation will depend on volunteer efforts or funds raised for the activity.
