Open Access
What is “Open Access”?
Open Access papers are freely available to read, download, and share. Authors retain copyright under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.
ESA Journals are published by John Wiley & Sons, and Wiley’s Open Access option is available to authors who wish to make their article Open Access or whose funding agency or institution requires “Gold” or “Green” Open Access. In addition to Open Access publication via Wiley Online Library, authors of Open Access papers are permitted to post the final, published PDF of their article on a website, institutional repository, and/or other free public server, immediately upon publication.
