Gloria Jin

C&E Section Role: Media Relations Officer

Gloria Jin is a field research assistant at Middleton Island and an incoming MSc student of Ecology, Evolution and Conservation at Imperial College London. She received her B.A. in Public Relations and Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California, where she first became interested in science communication. Her special interests include marine policy and ecology, particularly science communication’s role in policy and management. As a freelancer, Gloria is an illustrator and lover of birds. As the Media Relations Officer of the ESA C&E section, she hopes to bridge the gaps between members and resources and increase accessibility to science communication for ecologists.
