Faculty Mentoring Networks

The Ecological Society of America has teamed up with the Quantitative Undergraduate Biology Education and Synthesis (QUBES) program to offer a unique networking and professional development opportunity through the Faculty Mentoring Networks (FMN). QUBES (qubeshub.org) is an NSF-funded virtual center that supports collaboration to promote quantitative biology education at the undergraduate level. This partnership advances ESA’s initiative to prepare the education community for Big Data that is steadily coming online through the National Ecological Observatory Network project over the next 30 years.

NEON is a continental-scale ecological observation facility, sponsored by the National Science Foundation and operated by Battelle, that gathers and synthesizes data on the impacts of climate change, land use change and invasive species on natural resources and biodiversity.
