Joseph Bruseo is a professor at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he is the 2023 recipient of the Elaine Marieb Chair for Teaching Excellence Award and has previous experience as chair of the IRB and curriculum committee, plus as department chair and interim dean. He is a Certified Senior Ecologists with ESA. He earned his bachelor’s in biological sciences from Rutgers, then a master of science in wildlife management from Frostburg State University (Frostburg, Maryland) and his doctorate in biological sciences from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, Ohio). His primary scientific interest is behavioral ecology; as an educator, he focuses on guiding students toward career pathways in the science.
