Meet Diego Vázquez

Diego Vázquez is a biologist who has a focused interest in ecology, with an emphasis on community ecology, plant-animal interactions. He is a CONICET Principal Researcher at the Argentina Institute for Dryland Research in Mendoza, Argentina. He teaches ecology and conservation biology as an associate professor at the University of Cuyo.

Diego is an associate editor of a few different journals, Ecología Austral, Ecology/Ecological Monographs, and Proceedings of the Royal Society B. He is an elected fellow of the Ecological Society of America, a member of the Argentina Ecological Association, and a corresponding member of the Ecological Society of Chile. Diego is an elected fellow, elected for excellence in research on the ecology of species interactions, including the study of dynamics of interaction networks, and the functioning and conservation of plant-animal mutualisms.
