2025 Indigenous Voices Travel Scholarship

Are you interested in botany or ecology? The AISES Indigenous Voices project will support college students and professionals interested in attending the Botanical Society of America (BSA) or Ecological Society of America (ESA) annual conferences in 2025. Funding can be full or partial and includes registration to the conference, travel, lodging, and per diem. The review committee will prioritize Indigenous applicants, and secondarily, those who work with Indigenous communities. This is a great opportunity to network, present your research, or simply learn more about working in the field! Here are the details for each conference:

Botany 2025
Botany without Barriers
July 26-30 in Tucson, AZ
Priority due date for Botany 2025 is February 1, 2025

November 9-12, 2025

ESA 2025
Ecology is Everywhere
August 10-15 in Baltimore, MD
Apply to ESA 2025 here

Priority Due Date for ESA 2025 is November 1, 2024
for those interested in speaking in an organized session format.

Final Due Date for ESA 2025 is January 10, 2025
for those interested in: 

• attending; 
• participating in a Special Session to be organized later 
• presenting in other formats (contributed oral talks or posters)

 

Eligibility Restrictions

*Applications are only open for U.S. Citizens due to federal funding regulations.
