We’re bringing local folks in the Baltimore community to enjoy a small part of the world’s largest gathering of ecologists at Checkerspot Brewing! Join us for a short program of ecology presentations, followed by very informal Q&A and a chance to connect with local people passionate about science.
You can add your ticket to your registration for just $10, or register separately.
Our program this year will feature:
- Chloe Cho: Comparing early-season pest abundance and damage between neonicotinoid-treated and untreated seeds in field and vegetable crops in New York State
- Shannon LaDeau: The changing landscape of vector-borne disease risk
- Sarah Rothman: Detritus communities representative of socioeconomically diverse urban neighborhoods affects the outcome of competition between Aedes albopictus and Culex pipiens mosquitoes
(In other words, we’re talking mosquitoes and managing them!)
