We are glad to once again provide financial support to our members who face barriers to attendance at the Annual Meeting.

Registration Grants

We are again providing registration grants to ESA members who lack financial resources and/or employer support to attend the meeting. Only ESA members at the time of application will be considered.

These grants are intended to serve ecological professionals who lack employer support to attend. Students are encouraged to apply for funding through the sections and chapters (available soon), or the Student Section’s Trailblazing Student Award, or to volunteer (applications will open along with registration in May).

The deadline to apply for this round of funding is February 28. We will open a second round during the submission period for latebreaking posters. The grants will be administered via coupon code valued at the cost of an early-bird registration for the meeting. If you apply for a grant, DO NOT REGISTER until you have received a notification of your application’s status.

Dependent Care Grants

ESA members whose normal caretaking responsibilities would preclude their participation are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to $500. This care can be for any dependent or loved one. Funds will be disbursed as a reimbursement. The grants are intended to support those who do not ordinarily have resources to pay for care.
