EcologyPlus is excited to offer the Green Opportunities, Diversity Workshop & Career Fair. This is a two-part event designed to engage professionals in the environmental, conservation and sustainability fields as well as diverse students and early career professionals interested in green careers pathways.
Door prizes will include a $500 EcologyPlus scholarship to a registered student to attend a professional conference related to green careers by September 2023. The drawings will take place after 3:30 pm. Must be present to win.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Individuals who identify themselves as being part of an underrepresented group in the ecological sciences who are:
- Undergraduate students
- Graduate students
- Early career professionals (degree earned within the last 3 years)
WHAT TO EXPECT
As a participant, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet with professionals from a wide variety of sectors all sharing the same interest in conservation, sustainability and the environment.
- Participate in mini-workshops to build on relevant skills you will need in your career.
- Network and make connections, potentially leading to some form of employment.
- Lunch will be provided to those who register on time.
- Eligibility for EcologyPlus career mentoring.
- Win Door prizes from exhibitors & a grand door prize of $500 from EcologyPlus towards career development!
